Learn in the countryside
Teaching farms are farms or farmers' museums recognised and able to educate the public and schoolchildren about what it means to work in the agricultural production chain.
The Quality Charter
Campania, like many other regions, has a specific Registry of Teaching Farms, which can enroll farms and agritourism, processing and packaging companies, and Rural Life Museums with operational headquarters in Campania, that are able to offer on-site educational services, as enshrined in a specific disciplinary code: the Quality Charter.
By trying their hand at the workshops and activities offered by the Teaching Farms, young and old alike can experience and understand the objectives of these places, which are the production of typical products, the promotion of awareness about food processing, and environmental protection through production methods that respect local resources.
Keeping faith with its strong tradition of excellence in the food sector, Campania has almost 500 members spread in the provinces of Naples, Avellino, Benevento, Caserta and Salerno within its Regional Register of Teaching Farms.
